It's been almost a month since my last post, it was really hard for me to just sit down and tickle my keyboard. I wasn't so busy either, It's just my brain was not into it.
What am I up to these days... my little girl was already out of school for almost 2 weeks now. We hosted a playdate for 2 days in a row, attended other activities that made my brain out from blogging. I signed her up to a lot of different things to make her busy. Tuesdays is her library day. We are also fixing our garage that was neglected for the longest time. This Friday we are heading to Upstate NY to celebrate the 4th of July and be with my in laws. It would be a lot of fun for my little girl since she loves her grandpa's magic tricks and of course the fireworks.
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Parrot Flower
My friend e-mailed me this beautiful and very rare flower from Thailand. This is a protected species and not allowed to be exported. This species is known to science as Impatiens Psittacina.
Many people believe this flower is a hoax, but there are numerous scientific texts which will verify its existence. The plant gets big but the flowers don't! It reaches a height of 6 feet and is not a small garden impatiens like what we have in our local nursery! The plant looks like a very bad garden weed with beautiful flowers.
What a lovely flower!

Mellow Yellow - Play Area
My entry for this week is a little late. I decided to still post it since I already missed the last one.
We were looking for a play area in our nearby town when we spotted this very quiet place. It was at the back of one of the town schools. My daughter enjoyed it even if there were no kids around. We then transferred to Kid's Kingdom which was close to this one.

A Reason To Smile...
(This was an e-mail from a friend, I decided to share it with you guys.)
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet.
He held up a sign which said: ' I am blind, please help .'
There were only a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words.
He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up.
A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.
That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked,
'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?'
The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way..' What he had written was:
'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.'
Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?
Of course both signs told people the boy was blind.
But the first sign simply said the boy was blind.
The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind.
Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?
Moral of the Story:
Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.
Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence.
Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.
The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling…
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

Having a Baby
We parents are very much aware that breast milk is best for our baby, not just the basic nutrition that baby needs but breast milk is packed with disease – fighting substances that protect our baby from illness. I wasn't lucky enough to continue breastfeeding my baby since after my second month, I needed to take medicine that made me stopped from breastfeeding. Six weeks was too short to nurture her with my breastmilk. I loved the quiet moment she and I had together when I was breastfeeding her. I loved the look of contentment on her face after I fed her. It wasn't my plan to give her the formula but because of what happened I really had to. My baby's pediatrician suggested the formula that's best for her. I gave her Isomil but there is a Parent's Choice Infant Formula that is not as expensive. It is actually 50% less than the other brand. Since all infant formulas sold in the U.S. are required to be manufactured in accordance with, and meet the nutritional requirements of, the Federal Food, drug and Cosmetic Act for infant formula under the regulation of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration it is worth to check with your pediatrician of what is best for your baby. You can use an online baby formula calculator to see how much you can save versus the other brand.
