Mommy Moments - Bonding Time

Family activities during the weekend while my husband is home is the best family bonding for us. We play games, watch television doing chores together and just sitting on a sofa talking. Those are the moments I really treasure most.

Our Bathroom Makeover

If there is one room in our house that needs a makeover, It is our bathroom downstairs. We are in the planning stage of this project so we are doing a lot of leg work ourselves. Choosing what color of the tile would be for the flooring, could it be double vanity or just a single one, the accessories that goes with it, there are lots of things to consider in this project. I am really spending time visiting our local showrooms and even searching on the net looking for the products that we would like. Since Bathroom Vanities is a great focal point, buying the right one will go a long way in regard to our comfort, satisfaction and the beauty of the room. But of course we are limited only to the size of our bathroom and the budget that we are willing to spend. It is great to know that the site I just found offers discount bathroom vanities. They have plenty of vanities to choose from. They even have the winter sale of 45-75% savings plus a flat rate shipping for all orders, no matter what the size of order. I have no problem buying on line since the furnitures I bought on line were delivered in a very good condition.

Track Sex Offenders

It is so good to live in the neighborhood that safety is not an issue. But in our generation today there is no safe place where we can bring our children without worrying. Whenever we bring our children out to play, parent is also out to keep an eye on their children. Gone are those days that children can go out and play without their parents worrying that something might happen to them. The good news is, we now have ways to Track Sex Offenders and it is a lot easier since they have a database that allows user to find out just how close they are in the neighborhoods. Since their website provides photos, their current and previous living address and even detailed predators report, we can now help educate ourselves and our children by providing some of the informations available from their site to keep our children safe. Be aware of our children's environment. How well do you know the people around us. We should all be aware of the risks that we are surrounded with. Just looking at the number of sex offenders in our country gives me goosebumps. Keep your family safe, try visiting and find out the list of sex offenders in your area by entering the zip code.

Fashionable Clothes For Pregnant Women

Every woman who got pregnant always have a story to tell about her pregnancy. When I was pregnant there were times that I really don't want to dressed up. I was so lazy to wake up in the morning to prepare myself to work. But it did'nt last long, after my first trimester I began shopping for Maternity Clothes and got so excited everyday. I found a one stop shop company who carries a lot of affordable maternity clothes, baby clothes and even baby furnitures. Boston magazine awarded them as Best maternity and Baby Clothing 2008. I was very much aware that when you look good you feel good and feeling good is great for the baby. Most of the time I was wearing Maternity Bottoms because of my work. Expectant mothers can also be fashionable whatever the season is. In summer, there is no reason to give up swimming while your pregnant since there are lots of stylish Maternity Swimsuits. No matter what you do for fashion during pregnancy, know that you have many more choices today than our mothers had, and enjoy your figure, you can be beautiful and pregnant.

Chat Rooms for Catholic

Just recently my friends and fellow bloggers had a get together in my friend's house. Most of the friends who were present were the ones I have met online through blogging. We had a lot of fun because we have common interest which is blogging. We talked, laughed, took a lot of pictures and of course we had a table full of food, so we ended up bringing home some food. We went home late but happy because we met our old friends and gain a lot of new ones. There are lots of ways to gain friends if you really are interested. There is a Free Catholic Chat rooms that users can get together and chat too. You can share your thoughts and beliefs and have some fun. People in the chat room are really friendly full of loving people and fun to talk to. All that you have to do is to register and you are ready to share whatever is in your mind. If you are interested in learning more about Catholicism, to discuss matters of interest this would be a great place to go. Try to join now and be a part of the discussions. See you there...

Tech Tip

A sneaky way to brighten your photos.
If there is one thing bloggers can't live without,I think its the camera so it's worth posting this tip. If a camera has an automatic exposure, its lens acts a lot like a pupil in an eye. that is, its aperture automatically expands when it senses darkness, and contracts if there's an abundance of light. Knowing this, it's easy to manipulate an automatic exposure to let in more light. Simply place your finger over the lens for a few seconds. Sensing darkness, the camera will open up its aperture. As soon as you remove your finger, the aperture will quickly begin to close again. If you snap your shop within about 1 second of moving your finger, the lens will let in more light than usual, and your photo will be extra bright.

Can't Quite Read Like I Used To.

Eyeglass frames & lenses can be very expensive. Last year I spent $350 for my progressive eyeglasses. That was the first time I spent that much money for eyeglasses. This is one item I can't live without. I have been wearing eyeglasses for more that twenty years now and replace it every year. But I was surprised with the price I found at Zenni Optical. You can have it for as little as eight dollars ($8). Yes eight dollars people! It was even mentioned in the NY times because of their inexpensive prices. Eyeglasses are definitely a personal fashion and style item but you really can get high quality and stylish prescription eyeglasses for a fraction of a cost, since they are the manufacturer. When I searched about buying it on line I found out that it is not as complicated as I thought it was. In addition to your regular prescription, you may have to ask the optometrist for your pupil distance measurement, since corrected lens cannot be made without it.Choosing the right frame and lens is also important to the comfort and successful wear of your eyeglasses. The frame you choose forms a part of your appearance and can be a way to show a part of your personality. So go on line and have fun on choosing eyeglass frame that would suit your style. I already did my homework and got this frame that surely fits my style.

You're sneezing, you're coughing, you're miserable with the cold that wont go away?
Pure honey, Calamansi (lemon of the tropics)& warm water, those 3 are my weapons at home to combat cough & cold. It really works for us. Of course those are just a must-have in our household but we really need to eat well and have enough sleep. We always have it at home before the cold season starts. Though experts say that we really can't cure cold but we may be able to shorten one.

Miniature Dollhouse For My Little Girl & Her Mom

I am not a dollhouse hobbiest but I love to have one of those miniature houses with unbelievable design. I am so fascinated with all the details and the effort they give just to make one. We surprised our daughter with a dollhouse last Christmas and she was so thrilled when she received it. The dollhouse we got doesn't have much accesories and we also need some
dollhouse supplies to make it more realistic.

A Time to Bond and Share Ideas...

Reading to our child is one of our daily rituals. I am so thankful that I always have a time to read books with her even when I was still a working mom. Hooked on Bible is one of her favorites. We always have question and answer portion after we're done with the story. One of the questions she asked that really surprised me was when she asked “ Mom when are we gonna stop thanking God?” I stopped for few seconds and think the best answer that a 4 year old can comprehend. I know parents would agree that kids ask unexpected questions that most of the time surprises us. Attending summer classes or even an after school activities can also help their inquisitive minds. Last year I signed her up to a vacation bible school in our area. She really enjoyed it and I am planning to sign her up again this summer. But it is not just kids who have a lot of questions, we too have questions or ideas that we really want to discuss and share with others. We are really lucky that even in the comfort of our home we can use our computer and communicate with other people. There is one interesting LDS chat room I found that you will be free to share spiritual thoughts, experiences, exciting family events. I am thinking of joining the discussion in their chat room soon.

Planning Ahead...

In a few more months, it will again be my little girl's birthday. Time flies so fast. Believe it or not years seem get shorter as our kids get older. Every time we talk about parties my daughter gets so excited and keeps on asking me how many more days before her birthday. She even suggested a few birthday party ideas. She is very helpful since she knows what she wants to do for her birthday. But the hardest part of throwing a party, especially if you want it to be a memorable one, is the planning stage. How many guests will be invited, what food to prepare, cake, games, invitations, party favors. It makes me feel a little tired just thinking about it. But her last year's birthday party was a success since I planned it ahead of time, I got a chance to search on line what would be the best and easiest way to throw a party. shares a lot of ideas, tips, recipes and even party themes to choose from. It really helped a lot. Less head ache and more fun. I am planning to get some ideas again from their website for my dear daughter's upcoming birthday celebration. I think based on my experience it is more fun and much easier if you involve your child during the planning stage.

Explore New Foods

Everytime we go to the Asian store my daughter has a lot of questions about different kind of fruits and vegetables they sell.We always ended up buying a lot of foods that we are not planning to buy. Seeing, trying, comparing and talking about different foods is part of learning. Through new food experiences we can teach children that every family has its own custom and cultures and often these cultures are reflected in the foods a person eats. Encourage children to compare their family's favorite meals with friends and to open their minds to trying one of their freinds favorites. Kids also tends to be more willing to try new foods when they get to pick them. Begin to make shopping a food exploration. maybe this week you'll pick something new and green, next time maybe something new and round. Visiting food shops can also be fun and educational.

How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You

How sweet it is to be loved by you. This line makes my husband's heart flutter, everytime I sing it to him. That is the song I sing after receiving gifts from my sweetheart. For few days now he's been asking me what I want for Valentine. I can't believe when I found a picture of the irresistible womens watches I've been eyeing for,for a long time. I've been in a jewelry business for quite sometime now and I noticed that a lot of men really need woman's help when it comes to buying gifts. It is very helpful for them to have a HINT from the woman they love. Many men appreciate that gesture. Here is one hint I got from my lady customer; look on line a picture of what you want, If it is a watch, you might consider visiting They have a lot of designer watches to choose from. Print it out, put it in a place where he can see it. You can insert it in a newspaper he is reading or put it in his desk or just tell him how beautiful that watch is. You'll never know, It worked for her. It might work for you too. I already printed mine and I will just put it on his desk so he can see it tomorrow morning.

What I like about this watch is, I can easily match it with my outfit. Since it is a two tone watch, I will have no problem wearing my jewelries. It is simple yet so elegant and rich looking.

Am I reading it right?

The days are longer, the sun is brighter and when I looked at our kitchen window I saw the temperature closed to 60 deg. I have no doubt spring is just around the corner. Yepey...I love spring just thinking about it makes me smile.

Mommy Moments - Preggy Days

mommy moments

This was taken when I was 7 months pregnant during the baby shower at my friend's house.
Having pregnant, that was the most exciting part of my life. Knowing that there was life inside me was the greatest feeling I ever knew of. My pregnancy was awesome. I loved every minute of my big belly. When we got married we talked about getting pregnant right away, but it wasn't as easy as we thought would be. Our Dr. gave us a year to wait and recommended to visit a fertility Dr, if after a year of trying nothing would happen. A month before our scheduled visit, I got pregnant. I always thank God for that wonderful experience.

Water, Water and more Water...

This is one of the issues in our household, DH and our little girl don't drink enough water. I keep on telling them that water is very important specially this time of the year where the body requires more water because of the cold weather.
Children tend to dehydrate faster than adults. Because kids don't cool down as efficiently as adults, they tend to overheat easily and therefore need to be encouraged to drink often. Elementary- aged children should consume between 7 1/2 to 10 1/2 cups of hydrating fluids everyday. One of the easiest and most healthful fluids is water. Our bodies loose large amounts of water each day, which must be replaced. We simply can't survive very long without it. Water is essential for just about every body function, such as helping us digest food, helping us use vitamins, and in making saliva, which helps prevent against tooth decay. By the time you feel thirsty, you may already be dehydrated, so it's important to keep sipping throughout the day on refreshing, thirst-quenching water.

A Quality Low Cost Insurance

All of us who owns a car needs a car insurance, right? We also need an affordable one where we can save extra money. This
San Diego auto insurance offers a free quote and guarantee to beat our current policy. How sweet is that? One good thing about this company is, they really care about our busy schedule, so once we submit our quote and don't hear from them in 5 minutes we can call the office directly.
