Family activities during the weekend while my husband is home is the best family bonding for us. We play games, watch television doing chores together and just sitting on a sofa talking. Those are the moments I really treasure most.

If there is one room in our house that needs a makeover, It is our bathroom downstairs. We are in the planning stage of this project so we are doing a lot of leg work ourselves. A sneaky way to brighten your photos.
If there is one thing bloggers can't live without,I think its the camera so it's worth posting this tip. If a camera has an automatic exposure, its lens acts a lot like a pupil in an eye. that is, its aperture automatically expands when it senses darkness, and contracts if there's an abundance of light. Knowing this, it's easy to manipulate an automatic exposure to let in more light. Simply place your finger over the lens for a few seconds. Sensing darkness, the camera will open up its aperture. As soon as you remove your finger, the aperture will quickly begin to close again. If you snap your shop within about 1 second of moving your finger, the lens will let in more light than usual, and your photo will be extra bright.

Lemon wedge

Rub a wedge of lemon around the rim of a martini glass and dip the glass into a plate of course sugar.
Set aside, Pour the remaining ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a martini glass.

Miniature Dollhouse For My Little Girl & Her Mom

I am not a dollhouse hobbiest but I love to have one of those miniature houses with unbelievable design. I am so fascinated with all the details and the effort they give just to make one. We surprised our daughter with a dollhouse last Christmas and she was so thrilled when she received it. The dollhouse we got doesn't have much accesories and we also need some

A Time to Bond and Share Ideas...

Reading to our child is one of our daily rituals. I am so thankful that I always have a time to read books with her even when I was still a working mom. Hooked on Bible is one of her favorites. We always have question and answer portion after we're done with the story. One of the questions she asked that really surprised me was when she asked “ Mom when are we gonna stop thanking God?” I stopped for few seconds and think the best answer that a 4 year old can comprehend. I know parents would agree that kids ask unexpected questions that most of the time surprises us. Attending summer classes or even an after school activities can also help their inquisitive minds. Last year I signed her up to a vacation bible school in our area. She really enjoyed it and I am planning to sign her up again this summer. But it is not just kids who have a lot of questions, we too have questions or ideas that we really want to discuss and share with others. We are really lucky that even in the comfort of our home we can use our computer and communicate with other people. Planning Ahead...

In a few more months, it will again be my little girl's birthday. Time flies so fast. Believe it or not years seem get shorter as our kids get older. Every time we talk about parties my daughter gets so excited and keeps on asking me how many more days before her birthday. She even suggested a few birthday party ideas. She is very helpful since she knows what she wants to do for her birthday. But the hardest part of throwing a party, especially if you want it to be a memorable one, is the planning stage. How many guests will be invited, what food to prepare, cake, games, invitations, party favors. It makes me feel a little tired just thinking about it. Everytime we go to the Asian store my daughter has a lot of questions about different kind of fruits and vegetables they sell.We always ended up buying a lot of foods that we are not planning to buy. Seeing, trying, comparing and talking about different foods is part of learning. Through new food experiences we can teach children that every family has its own custom and cultures and often these cultures are reflected in the foods a person eats. Encourage children to compare their family's favorite meals with friends and to open their minds to trying one of their freinds favorites. Kids also tends to be more willing to try new foods when they get to pick them. Begin to make shopping a food exploration. maybe this week you'll pick something new and green, next time maybe something new and round. Visiting food shops can also be fun and educational.

Mommy Moments - Preggy Days

This was taken when I was 7 months pregnant during the baby shower at my friend's house.
Having pregnant, that was the most exciting part of my life. Knowing that there was life inside me was the greatest feeling I ever knew of. My pregnancy was awesome. I loved every minute of my big belly. When we got married we talked about getting pregnant right away, but it wasn't as easy as we thought would be. Our Dr. gave us a year to wait and recommended to visit a fertility Dr, if after a year of trying nothing would happen. A month before our scheduled visit, I got pregnant. I always thank God for that wonderful experience.

Water, Water and more Water...

This is one of the issues in our household, DH and our little girl don't drink enough water. I keep on telling them that water is very important specially this time of the year where the body requires more water because of the cold weather.
Children tend to dehydrate faster than adults. Because kids don't cool down as efficiently as adults,they tend to overheat easily and therefore need to be encouraged to drink often. Elementary- aged children should consume between 7 1/2 to 10 1/2 cups of hydrating fluids everyday. One of the easiest and most healthful fluids is water. Our bodies loose large amounts of water each day, which must be replaced. We simply can't survive very long without it. Snow for kids is fun, for mom and dad, it's more work. As long as there is snow on the ground my little girl is constantly nagging about going out to play or go sledding.

5 Days Without Computer...

I can't believe what 5 days can do without doing anything on my computer, my google page rank was down to zero but my loyal friends never stop visiting my blog eventhough I didn't visit them back.
